Dr Barnabas Bako
MBBS FRANZCR
As Director of RRRA, Dr Barnabas Bako appreciates the wide variety of case mix he sees while reporting for sites all across Australia. He enjoys supporting remote and independent private practices, their patients and referrers. Barnabas has extensive expertise in interventional and vascular radiology, having obtained two fellowships in Interventional Radiology. Barnabas also has certification in CT Coronary Angiography.
In years past, Barnabas has been VMO at Central and Eastern Breast Screen, VMO Interventional Radiologist at The Canberra Hospital, and Staff Specialist a St Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst. As the Managing Partner and an Interventional Radiologist with over 25 years’ experience, Barnabas looks after the Vision Xray Group network of practices and takes a special interest in Dental, Breast and Cardiac Radiology.
Dr Paul Lowenstein
MBBS (Hons), PhD, FRANZCR
Dr Paul Lowenstein has extensive expertise in general and interventional radiology with over 15 years’ experience as a Radiologist. Paul has worked at Westmead and Royal North Shore Hospitals, having also been VMO at Western Area Health Service. Paul has worked extensively in private practice in the Sydney Metropolitan area and the New South Wales South Coast. He has a broad general Radiology background with a special interest in chest radiology, oncology and interventional radiology.
Assoc. Professor Lourens Bester
MB. CH.B. FRANZCR
Professor Bester is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists. Lourens is a skilled and respected Interventional Radiologist with over 25 years of experience across a broad spectrum of radiological procedures with a special interest in interventional oncology and arteriovenous malformations.
Having held previous positions as Head of Radiology in the School of Medicine Sydney campus at the University Notre Dame, and Network Director of Training for Westmead Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Concord Hospital, and Blacktown Mt Druitt Hospitals, Lourens’ extensive experience and expertise as a Radiologist is invaluable.
Dr Sophia Zadelis
MBBS FRANZCR
Dr Sophia Zadelis is a widely experienced Radiologist who has subspecialised in breast imaging and diagnostic breast assessment, having completed a Breast Imaging Fellowship after completing her radiology training.
For more than a decade Sophia has worked as a Breast Specialist/Physician, running assessment and biopsy clinics, performing radiologist reviews, case reviews and leading an experienced multidisciplinary team. An expert in breast imaging, particularly breast MRI, Sophia reports both complex and general studies in all modalities.
